Science teaching is a bit similar to teaching mathematics but with a twist. Children learn better through discovery learning. Therefore, it is important for the children to learn science through inquiry - hands on and minds on. This is what usually interest the children as teachers pose question them on "what will happen if" and also the "why does..." types of questions.
Similarly, the use of technology in teaching science will greatly enhanced the students' learning. Some explanations can be further shown by using ICT in which animated diagrams work much better than using static diagrams or pictures. But it is important that the children are actively involved in the learning and the teacher shouldnt be taking too much control of the lesson.
Teaching science should also make use of the nature so that the children will love and appreciate nature and their surroundings. As they are getting more knowledge and understanding about nature, this will make them to be more responsible in their actions and will help with the conservation of nature.
